The fourth workshop of the Pan-European Common Bird Monitoring Scheme (PECBMS) was held on 5th - 7th February 2012 in Eliška hotel in Mikulov, Czech Republic. The workshop was attended by 75 participants coming from 38 European countries.
As the PECBMS project reached the 10 years of the existence just at the beginning of the year 2012, the agenda and discussions at the workshop were highly focused on the future directions of the project and further improvements in methods, as well as the wider use of the outputs in science and policy. Outputs of discussion will be used in long-term planning.
The more detailed report on the workshop conclusions and recommendations will be published in the next Bird Census News.
